Can't Stop Won't Stop
Books. Read them. They’re good things. “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” by acclaimed journalist/hip hop historian/author Jeff Chang(URB, Vibe, Village Voice…) is quite a good read. I can highly recommend it even though I’m only on the 4th chapter. He delves deep into the history of hip hop; beyond the well-known “born in the bronx” beginnings. More than a plain ol’ hip hop book, Jeff explores the social, cultural and political impact that hip hop has had on generations.

REFRESH had the honour of helping promote Jeff Chang’s recent talk at UWSA’s Freestyle V.

The week culminates in a concert event where participants perform the original works they have written, developed and recorded throughout the week.
